Weekend To-Do List

Weekend To-Do List

The weekend is approaching and if you're like me, when you don't have anything planned, you kinda go crazy. Even though the weekend is supposed to be a relaxation time, I feel like I have to do something or those two days are just a waste of time.

Spring Wardrobe Essentials

Spring Wardrobe Essentials

Winter has finally coming to an end and it is time to start clearing out our closet from those heavy long coats and replace them with  light flowy blouses and dresses.
There are a few articles of clothing that are a must in every closet, in every season, but there is also a few items that are a must but they are a trend, so they probably won't be something you'll wear the next year.
In this post, I will show you 10 essentials for this Spring, 5 being basics and 5 being the more trendy pieces.
The European Closet Spring Wardrobe Essentials- The Basics

Let's start with the basics: these are the pieces you NEED in your wardrobe, as they are timeless and can be worn in a ton of different ways. You can create an entire look just using these basics, but you can also mix them with the trendy pieces and create a beautiful look.

These pieces are the ones you probably won't wear next spring. Trendy pieces are meant to last just a season, because, as I said before, you probably won't wear them next year.

5 Blogger Desk Essentials

5 Blogger Desk Essentials

I used to be one of those people who blogs everywhere but their desk. I would write my blogposts on the couch, the dining table, hell I think I wrote a blogpost on my bathroom floor once. I then realised I should have a designated workspace where I could work and had all the things I needed right beside me. There are a few things a blogger must have in their desk. Today I'll be talking about the top 5 things that, in my opinion, every blogger should have in their desk.

A Planner

Planners are crucial to keep you organised. I know there are people who rather prefer having the things they need to do typed in their phones and computers but that just doesn't work for me. A lot of times I would type stuff on my phone to later do and then I wouldn't remember them anymore. That used to happen a lot last year, in my first year of uni, when I forgot my planner. I would type on my phone an assignment or homework I had to do and then I would forget it completely.
Planners are a great way to visualise your day/week/month. That way, you can see when you can post on your blog, when you'll have time to take blog photos, and just to organise your life in general.

A Notebook

Notebooks are great for you to jot down just about everything regarding your blog. I personally use this one to write down and organise blogpost ideas and keep track of my stats.

A To-Do List

I am an organisation freak. I like to know everything I have to do during the day and when I have do those things. As I said above, a planner is a great way to keep yourself organised but along side it, I like to use this Primark to-do list to write down every little thing I have to do during the day or the week.

Pens and Post-it notes

Pens are a no brainer really. I mean, how could you write without them?
Post-it notes are great jot down a very important task you have to do. As they are colourful, they pop out and it'll be  less impossible for you to forget what you wrote in there. They are also great for writing stuff that doesn't have a set date to be done as you can easily move them around your planner.

So these are my blogger desk essentials. What are yours?

A Little Collective Beauty Haul

A Little Collective Beauty Haul

I've been picking up bits and bobs here and there and decided to share them with you guys. I have now realised I haven't done a haul here on the blog for almost 2 years. How is that even possible? I don't know, but what matters now is that I'm doing one now!

Andreia Nail Hardener- 4€ and Andreia Rocket Nail Polish in 126 1,99€ (on sale)

Ever since I took out my gel nails, my nails have become a thin as paper. I had a nail hardener back home but it just wasn't doing the job, so I bought this one and I have to say it is the best nail hardener I've ever used in my life (and I've used a lot of them, believe me)! since I started using it a month ago, it has completely changed my nails. They are now a lot stronger.
As I was browsing the store where I bought the nail hardener, I stumbled upon this beautiful dark rusty pink colour and I fell in love. It's the perfect colour for every season and it looks great on the nails.

Primark Smokey Eyeshadow Brush- 2,50€

Last week I took a trip to Primark and found this gem. I was in desperate need of a blending brush but all I found were either too dense or too fine. This one is just perfect. It's super soft and it blends eyeshadows super nicely. It also comes with an angled brush on the other side, but in all honesty I don't really like it. Compared to my Makeup Forever angled brush, this one isn't very good.

Kiko Milano Smart Eyehsadow in 02 - 2,50€

If you haven't tried Kiko eyeshadows as a highlighter, you don't know what you're missing. They are the bomb! I had once bought another one of their eyeshadows in the colour 139 (a pink-ish colour- gorgeous as well) and I absolutely loved it. I actually went to Kiko with the purpose of buying that eyeshadow colour again, but unfortunately they were out of it so I bought this one instead. With that being said, I have to say I am in no way disappointed with this colour.

Primark Blender Sponges - 1,80€

I had tried Primark's 'Beauty Blenders' before and I quite liked them so when I say these two for such a low price, I decided to buy them. Unfortunately, they weren't near as soft and the one I bought about a year ago.
I tried to apply my foundation with the orange blender the day after I bought it and it didn't look very good. But then, I left the blenders soak in a water and a tiny bit of olive oil overnight  and rinsed them in the morning they are now super soft and apply makeup extremely well.

I hope you enjoyed my haul!

Confessions of a Literature Student

Confessions of a Literature Student

I've always loved reading and writing. My mother always instilled the habit of reading in both me and my sister. For as long as I can remember, I always had a book sitting on my nightstand, ready to be read before I went to bed. So, it is no surprise I ended up studying English and Spanish Literature in University.
I am now in my second year of uni, which feels kind of unreal, to be honest. I feel like only yesterday I enrolled in high school.

Although I am studying literature, I have a few confessions regarding my degree that I thought it'd be fun to share with you guys: to let you guys know that not all lit students know everything about every author and read every book.

1- No, I am not a Shakespeare fan

2-No, I don't spend all my time reading- although I do read a fair share of books a month.

3-Yes, I do like '50 Shades of Grey', which is considered a sin among a lot of Lit students, but in all honesty, I need something light and easy to read every now and again.

4- Sometimes, I just read books for the sake of reading and don't think about what the author means when they write a certain sentence.

5- More often than not I don't read the book I'm assigned to read and just search for a very detailed summary of it online.

6- I really don't like poetry

7- I find American Literature lectures much more interesting than Spanish Literature lectures

8- With that being said, I still get very sleepy in a lot of my American Literature Lectures (and hungry too)

9- I've never heard of a fair amount of authors we talk about in lectures

10- And the authors I do know about, I haven't read their books or have read ones that are not in my subject's syllabus.

So, here you go: ten confessions of a lit uni student who doesn't quite fit the 'book nerd' stereotype.

Are you in Uni? Do you have any confession to make? Let me know in the comments!
